Carma's Birthday Slide show

I started Carma's Bday with Heart Pancakes (chocolate chips...YUMMY!).
There is a picture of Carma and Judson... of course Judson is trying to refuse a picture.
Carma and her Nonnie! I don't know what we are going to do when she leaves. I think my kids are going to go into MAJOR withdrawals... me too. It has been EXTRA nice having her help around the house. Carma talked about how Nonnie was coming for her birthday and was going to get her a Dora house.
Uncle Levi and Nikki got Carma a Dora tent (which Judson and Carma are in this very second watching a movie). Uncle Levi is shown sporting his princess gear, he said he just wanted to fit in too. hehe
Olivia got Carma THE CUTEST present EVER! It is a Princess Chair that Chimes when she sits down, it came with the pink dress she is now wearing (notice her outfit changes THREE TIMES. Look at Olivia in the 10th picture with her hands on her cheeks and Frankie in the background at the surprise that she is actually CHANGING in front of everyone! hahahaha). She loves this present and sits in it several times through the day.
The one with her with her umbrella shows her excitement about the gift! I love how easily she expresses her excitement!
She then shows us how a princess eats cake...face first.
The one that she is sitting on the pink stool is funny. She would NOT sit on Cinderella's lap, so she pulled a pink stool up and went from the back and slid forward. We were cracking up.
There are our princesses dressed up with Cinderella then Carma mesmerized by Cinderella. It is SO cute. Then the last is of her telling Cinderella goodbye.

Happy Birthday Carma

This was one of the cutest bday parties I have ever done... if I do say so myself... and I DO!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE having a girl and all the cute girly things that come with having a girly girl.
Carma is DEFINITELY ALL GIRL! I don't know if I have ever met a child who loves fru-fru more than her and anything frilly and pink and princess and make-up. It is so much fun.

She wanted a Princess party, of course and asked if Cinderella could come. So, we gave her just that. I have been sick for a couple of weeks and hadn't felt up to planning a party. So THE DAY OF, Dana helped me and we went Shopping for 5 hours. We planned and purchased the entire party gear. It was a blast. I really love doing birthday parties. We got lots of pink and blue (Cinderella's colors). Pictures say a thousand words, so I will just post several pictures.
Since I have had so many tell me they hate the slide (and I LOVE the slide), I will post some on here and some on a slide show. Dana took WAY too many pictures not to post a ton.

The Cake was easy. After last year's Backyardigan cake disaster I vowed never to make another Birthday cake. I have stuck with my vow so far. Costco makes WAY better cakes anyway. I just had them do a plain cake and write Happy Bday Carma on the bottom w/ blue lining. We just added the toys to decorate. The glass slippers found at Party Land were so cute, I HAD to get them.

We had all the guest dress up as a princess. We played "Snow White and the Poison Apple" game. Diego found an apple and ate one before the game and then Carma started eating the "poisoned" (a frowny face drawn on apple w/ permanent marker) apple after the game.
Dana made Rice Crispy treats and used a cookie cutter to cut them into star shapes, dipped them in white chocolate, sprinkled them with shiny pink sprinkles and put a skewer for a wand. We covered them in plastic wrap, tied them with a princess bow and sent them home with their party favor bag.
For the party activity I just bought a princess decorating kit at Roberts.. no clue, just stickers.

My friends sister played Cinderella for us. She is so sweet and beautiful and played a perfect Cinderella. If you have a girl who wants a princess at her party just email me and I will give you more information on how to hire her for your party. She added the perfect touch and the girls loved her.

Been a while... again!

OK, I had read someone's blog a while ago that mentioned that there should be no guilt in not blogging... she didn't want blogging to become "ONE more thing she HAD to do". So that is my trying to be attitude.
I have felt pretty crappy for a few weeks and my family is in town..so if I WERE trying to justify NOT blogging...
Lets focus on the major events.
Nonnie and Maw-maw and Paw-Paw came in town for Carma's bday. We had so much fun.... mostly we just ate and watched movies.. my kind of vacation. The weather was kind of blah..to cold or chilly to do picnics or play, and no snow so we couldn't go snow tubing. Kind of sad. But it was fun and the kids LOVE having them in town.

Valentines day!

I hope everyone had a great valentines day. Ours wasn't great, but it was good. We went to the dentist, Judson got a cavity filled. Carma has ear infection that wasn't going away with the Chiropractor so we took her to the Dr. She had to get a shot. She seems to be doing better today.
Because Carma was sick we just had a family night at home. We watched "The Game Plan". (Judson liked it and it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be) and we ate ourselves silly with Pizza. It was a fun and quiet family night.

Michael ordered my Vdays present over a week ago. So I was guessing what it was.. I guess the second guess..hehehe. It was easy b/c he had been talking about perfume the past week and how he notices I don't wear it as much anymore. hahaha Anyway, I said "How did you know which kind to get me?" and then it occurred to me that he would get me the one I used to wear. But it was 9 years ago when were dating... no way he could remember.. I didn't even remember the name. BUT HE DID!! How sweet. I said "Is it by Ginvenchy?" (pronounced GJee-von--shee)... he said "NO, that's not it... WAIT.. Gi-vinCHEE?" hahaha I was laughing. It was so cute and funny and he was NOT ashamed that he didn't know how to pronounce a designers name. I guess that IS a good thing, and the only reason I know is from working in Lancome and Chanel counter. It was so cute and sweet of him to remember!! THANKS HON!

For Judson's classmates we made the cutest thing! (if I do say so myself, and I DO!- haha) Judson is way into Origami these days. So we made a diamond last week and I got the idea!
We Cut a whole in the middle of the Origami Diamond and stuck 3 Hershey's kisses in. Taped the top and put a Price tag that read "You are Pricele$$." We painted them W/ pink and blue glitter (I was out of silver or else I think that would have been cuter). They turned out really cute. It was a lot of work (we made 28), but it was a good family project an hour or so two nights) and Judson LOVED it!

Silly Times

Judson is a silly kids... that is it. He loves to be goofy and has been way more goofy these days. Sometimes I worry that he might have Tourette syndrome (just kidding) b/c he will all the sudden let out a "BLLLLLLLLTTTTT" and scare me half to death. He loves scaring me these days.. he hides and stand still and looks like a taxidermied cat. It is pretty funny. Carma was getting a lot of attention (as usual) with Judson't undies on and he decided that he needed to get into the action. So I turned around and he was wearing Carma's tutu and Cinderella shirt and anything silly and girly that he could find. He actually let and WANTED me to take pictures. Usually when he is doing something silly he runs from the camera.

Michael took me to a 1940's themed dance on Saturday night. I would say we "danced the night away"... but I would be lying. It was fun though! Michael gave it a fair shot.. we danced five songs. It was the first time we have ever been to a dance together and he promised to take me out more. I forget how much I miss dancing sometimes. I hope we can do things like that more often. Andrew, Michaels brother, plays in the Jazz band and they were AMAZING! There was also a tribute to any soldiers who had ever served our country. A solider who had served as an air bomber was there, he was 87, a trumpet player. He played a few songs and he was GREAT! He told of a story that I can't forget and am sorry to hear that anyone should have to carry for 63 years. So horrible, I don't even feel like retelling it. Anyway, I am grateful for those who gave their lives for our freedom. I am grateful for them who still serve us and hope this war is over soon!!! Why can't we just all get along??? REALLY?!!

Potty Training

Potty Training stage is NOT my favorite. I have been avoiding it and will to put if off for another year. (I figure as long as she is potty trained before kindergarten we are all good!). But she is starting to show signs and I suppose I can't deny her to right to pee in the potty. She all the sudden doesn't want to wear diapers, so I told her she had to wear Judson's underwear and try to pee in the potty. She actually sat on the toilet and tried... huge for her since she used to be terrified of it. Here is a cute picture of her sitting on the potty... there are also SEVERAL indecent pictures of her running around naked (nothing but boots on) since she wont wear diapers. I wont post those though.. thanks to the SICK-O's out there. It is just really funny b/c she runs SO FAST and just hangs out naked. I bought her some princess panties and she REALLY wants to wear them, but I told her she can't until she pees in the potty one time first. She has NO clue what it feels like. Am I ready to do this??? I don't think I am... but I don't want to miss the chance if she is ready. Any advice is welcomed since I pretty much screwed it up w/ Judson and traumatized the poor child. I don't want to force it or shame her in anyway. I guess I will just see where she leads me and guide her as well. I just hate poop in the underwear and pee on the floor. Breathe Kiki, BREATHE!! We can do this... all kids (well, most) kids eventually get peepee in the potty!

Has it already been 2 weeks?

Wow! Time flies by when you are having fun... and are too busy to think!
We have been pretty busy lately. I don't mind b/c I need something to do during these snowy months. I usually hate the snow, but this year it is beautiful. I don't mind it at all. A Garage is helpful , but mostly it is that the ugly dirty snow is covered so I doesn't look so gloomy. Also the snow seems to clean the muck that fills our sky, so the skies are bluer than usual.

So here is what we have been up to:
Snow snow and MORE SNOW! Church got canceled b/c it snowed so much last weekend. So we went out and shoveled snow for 2 hours. The kids LOVED it. We don't play in it nearly enough (it is my pet peeve to dress the kids for 30 mins with the snow pants, the gloves, hat, socks, boots, etc and then they play for 5 minutes. But this particular day they played for 2 hours. UNBELIEVABLE! All the neighbors were out and we had a mini snowball fight.. OK, well we mostly were throwing at the men and they couldn't throw at us b/c we had children shields. Muihahahahahaha!! (evil laugh) Fun times! Michael and Judson made a huge round fort in the front yard. It is still standing. Judson was actually outside for over 4 hours that day.
