APRIL FOOLS!!

So sad that I was too tired and lazy to do an April fools joke this year. So let me tell you about 3 years ago..... I still haven't topped this one.
(Part of me doesn't want to post this so I can do it here in our new neighborhood, but it is too funny not to share! )
I left this note on the entire cul-de-sacs door (probably about 15-20 town homes).

"NOTICE:

We will be performing routine maintenance on the sewer line connected to your home today. While your water will not be turned off, we would ask that you not use your toilets between the hours of 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

For “emergency” toilet use, the following units in your area will have full sewer access:

4331 Datenport Circle
4337 Datenport Circle

At first I didn't think anyone fell for it b/c no one said anything about it and nobody asked to use Julie's toilet. (The joke was meant to target Julies family but that part didn't work at all). Later in the day I was getting frustrated that this genius joke didn't work. (I was SO excited about this joke and the funnest part was laughing so hard while taping all the notes on the door; I thought I was going to pee my pants). But hope was not totally lost yet... I called around that night and FINALLY was getting my pay off... hehehehe

Most people said they didn't use the toilet at all an some said they just didn't flush it. Karen put red tape on it all 3 toilets and warned her kids not to use them. Donna was scared to even use the water and Dallin was so annoyed and said "no way was anyone really going to use someone else's toilet!!" Mike Moore was ticked and wanted Trish to call Lehi City and tell them to give us more notice next time and Trish was really scared her toilets would back up or cause trouble when Alyssa flushed the toilet an hour early. Robert left for work a few hours earlier b/c he had "take a dump". HAHAHAHA It was so funny, sigh.... I miss that neighborhood. Thank goodness everyone thought it was funny , but they did warn me to sleep with one eye open because revenge was surely coming. It was worth being a little paranoid for a month or two after. They were all talk anyway... hahahaha no one did anything.

Our beloved Lizard, Noah 2, died yesterday. (well as beloved as you can call a pet Lizard) I say "he or she" b/c I am not sure how to look for Lizard genitalia nor do I plan to any time soon! I was sad, but mostly for Judson. He cried but I think he is over it since he is already talking about getting a frog. But he is telling me now that we have to make him a head stone today. So I suppose we will hold the funeral service sometime tonight. It may go something like this:
Noah's life:
Judson caught Noah about 8 months ago in Aunt Cynthia's yard. He was going to give it to Renton who saw if first, but Renton was so dear to let us have it. (THANKS Rachelle!..hehe Just kidding. I didn't mind).
So we hooked him up with a big cage, a warming lights and LOTS of crickets every week. He seemed like a healthy thriving lizard. He would bury himself in the sand when he would sleep.. that was cute.
And I am already out of interesting things to say Noah.. he was kind of a boring, but easy, pet. I don't think he liked us much since he would run away from us and look at me suspiciously when I would talk to him. But none the less, we will miss you Noah! See ya in Heaven b/c all Lizards go to Heaven, right? or does that just apply to dogs?

Easter has come and gone...

One would think I would have some cute pictures to post from Easter, but NOPE! Dana is no longer here and that means I have to remember to charge my battery and/or not forget my camera at my inlaws. Therefor I have no easter pictures since the last FOUR times I went to take a picture my battery was dead and or the camera was no where to be found. The dumb thing only is usable for about 30mins after you take it out of the charger. I could get a new battery, but I want a better camera. So, so if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. Did this paragraph make any sense? I don't think so. But I am MUCH too tired to care.....

The Easter bunny hid the kids baskets as usual. Judson got moon sand and Carma got a pony and they both got play dough. Easter Bunny didn't want too much candy around, so there wasn't too much to make them sick. Although now I wish there were more Peanut Butter eggs around. Yummmy...

We went to the T's house for a huge family Easter Egg hunt. It is a family tradition that I look forward to every year. There are SO MANY grandkids and great grandkids.. like 160 something total?? So it is so much fun to see all these kids growing up and all the new babies. I honestly can't even keep up w/ whose kids are who or who just had a baby. I still don't know some of Michael cousin's names.. but I don't feel bad since I was talking to one of his cousins and she doesn't know names either.. and they are HER own cousins. hahaha I said that is how you know you are a member of this family. I only have 12 first cousins.. so this is so amazing to have so many. Anyway, Easter was fun. Wish I had some pictures, but I don't. sniff sniff.. I am serious about advice on Camera's. I have no idea what to look for.

Happy St. Patricks day

I figure I better post this CUTE picture of Judson before Easter.. since that is in THREE days.. WHAT! This year is flying by already.

Here is the story behind this: In their class they had "Shawn the Leprechaun" come to visit everyday that they were good during the week of St. Patrick's day. If they were rowdy Shawn couldn't come. He would leave little gifts and notes and they wrote notes to him. Cute Idea. Here is what I think is funny. Last year Judson figured out that I was the Easter bunny since I was lazy and put the same kind of treats back in the cabinet and he found them a few weeks later and said "Mom, are you the Easter bunny, b/c those are the same kind of treats he left". hahaha I just cracked up and said what do you think", he said "yeah, I think you are". So, I just figured he wouldn't believe in Santa Clause or anything similar. But he REALLY got excited about Shawn and I wonder what he is going to say this year, since he seems excited about the Easter Bunny.

Funny how we believe in what we want to believe... this still holds true for so many beliefs we may have about ourselves, our lives, about other people, whether good or bad, true or false. Our perception is a big deal in how we choose to live our lives, so it is so important for us to find out what is what our beliefs are and if they are true (and I am not talking about religion, I am talking about what we believe about ourselves, deep down beliefs we may not even be aware of). For example : Do I feel I deserve good things or are undeserving of anything nice, do I believe I am lovable and/or deserve to be loved, do I believe the world is a safe place or scary place, do I believe God is a God of Love and is truly cares for me, or is He is a Punishing God and any minute will just pull the rug from under me, can everyone around me be trusted or should I sleep w/ one eye open. These beliefs are there and can (and do) effect my life and the decisions I make daily. So, if I believe I am lovable, I will be free to accept and give love more easily to everyone and see their true intentions (which I do believe is usually good, just miscommunicated), if I believe God is a truly loving God I can actually trust that He will help me when I ask. The trick is just uncovering what the beliefs are and if they are true or if the are lies that we made up during life, but now seem so real. And that concludes my "soap box" for the day, WOW I don't know where that came from, I didn't intend on writing this today, just came to me and I have been thinking of the importance of being honest with ourselves lately and uncovering the truth, but anyway, I never post such personal thoughts on a public blog, but I feel that I should. I hope I didn't scare y'all away:)

Carma's Birthday Slide show

I started Carma's Bday with Heart Pancakes (chocolate chips...YUMMY!).
There is a picture of Carma and Judson... of course Judson is trying to refuse a picture.
Carma and her Nonnie! I don't know what we are going to do when she leaves. I think my kids are going to go into MAJOR withdrawals... me too. It has been EXTRA nice having her help around the house. Carma talked about how Nonnie was coming for her birthday and was going to get her a Dora house.
Uncle Levi and Nikki got Carma a Dora tent (which Judson and Carma are in this very second watching a movie). Uncle Levi is shown sporting his princess gear, he said he just wanted to fit in too. hehe
Olivia got Carma THE CUTEST present EVER! It is a Princess Chair that Chimes when she sits down, it came with the pink dress she is now wearing (notice her outfit changes THREE TIMES. Look at Olivia in the 10th picture with her hands on her cheeks and Frankie in the background at the surprise that she is actually CHANGING in front of everyone! hahahaha). She loves this present and sits in it several times through the day.
The one with her with her umbrella shows her excitement about the gift! I love how easily she expresses her excitement!
She then shows us how a princess eats cake...face first.
The one that she is sitting on the pink stool is funny. She would NOT sit on Cinderella's lap, so she pulled a pink stool up and went from the back and slid forward. We were cracking up.
There are our princesses dressed up with Cinderella then Carma mesmerized by Cinderella. It is SO cute. Then the last is of her telling Cinderella goodbye.

Happy Birthday Carma

This was one of the cutest bday parties I have ever done... if I do say so myself... and I DO!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE having a girl and all the cute girly things that come with having a girly girl.
Carma is DEFINITELY ALL GIRL! I don't know if I have ever met a child who loves fru-fru more than her and anything frilly and pink and princess and make-up. It is so much fun.

She wanted a Princess party, of course and asked if Cinderella could come. So, we gave her just that. I have been sick for a couple of weeks and hadn't felt up to planning a party. So THE DAY OF, Dana helped me and we went Shopping for 5 hours. We planned and purchased the entire party gear. It was a blast. I really love doing birthday parties. We got lots of pink and blue (Cinderella's colors). Pictures say a thousand words, so I will just post several pictures.
Since I have had so many tell me they hate the slide (and I LOVE the slide), I will post some on here and some on a slide show. Dana took WAY too many pictures not to post a ton.

The Cake was easy. After last year's Backyardigan cake disaster I vowed never to make another Birthday cake. I have stuck with my vow so far. Costco makes WAY better cakes anyway. I just had them do a plain cake and write Happy Bday Carma on the bottom w/ blue lining. We just added the toys to decorate. The glass slippers found at Party Land were so cute, I HAD to get them.

We had all the guest dress up as a princess. We played "Snow White and the Poison Apple" game. Diego found an apple and ate one before the game and then Carma started eating the "poisoned" (a frowny face drawn on apple w/ permanent marker) apple after the game.
Dana made Rice Crispy treats and used a cookie cutter to cut them into star shapes, dipped them in white chocolate, sprinkled them with shiny pink sprinkles and put a skewer for a wand. We covered them in plastic wrap, tied them with a princess bow and sent them home with their party favor bag.
For the party activity I just bought a princess decorating kit at Roberts.. no clue, just stickers.

My friends sister played Cinderella for us. She is so sweet and beautiful and played a perfect Cinderella. If you have a girl who wants a princess at her party just email me and I will give you more information on how to hire her for your party. She added the perfect touch and the girls loved her.

Been a while... again!

OK, I had read someone's blog a while ago that mentioned that there should be no guilt in not blogging... she didn't want blogging to become "ONE more thing she HAD to do". So that is my trying to be attitude.
I have felt pretty crappy for a few weeks and my family is in town..so if I WERE trying to justify NOT blogging...
Lets focus on the major events.
Nonnie and Maw-maw and Paw-Paw came in town for Carma's bday. We had so much fun.... mostly we just ate and watched movies.. my kind of vacation. The weather was kind of blah..to cold or chilly to do picnics or play, and no snow so we couldn't go snow tubing. Kind of sad. But it was fun and the kids LOVE having them in town.
